On December 7th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, The Game Awards 2023 will begin. The ceremony honors the best in gaming for the current calendar year, with categories covering art direction, audio, best multiplayer, RPG, and more.

Leading the nominees for 2023 are Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake II, with eight each.  Entertainment betting sites have posted odds for several 2023 categories, with lines taking action between now and when the awards are handed out in ten days.

Game Of The Year

Baldur’s Gate 3 -700
The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom +500
Alan Wake 2 +800
Resident Evil 4 +1500
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 +2000
Super Mario Bros. Wonder +2000

When it comes to the odds for Game of the Year, Baldur’s Gate 3 is holding a massive lead over Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. BG3 leads Zelda by a whopping 1000 points in the moneyline odds to win, suggesting anything but a Baldur’s Gate win would be a major upset.

Best Art Direction

Alan Wake 2 -110
Hi-Fi Rush +250
Lies Of P +250
The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom +350
Super Mario Bros. Wonder +1500

Alan Wake II leads the odds for best art direction, with near-even money being offered for the game’s chances of winning. The Legend of Zelda could be a sleeper in this category. Zelda bets will payout at $3.50 on the dollar for those brave enough to place a wager.

The Best Multiplayer odds are easily the tightest on the board, as a +200 moneyline has been offered for Baldur’s Gate 3, Street Fighter 6, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder. If you bet correctly, you’ll be in line for 2-to-1 payouts.
